Great cities are amorphous agglomerations of trade and finance, talent and culture. Far East Organization's new learning and development programme opens the horizons of our staff by funding their travels to leading cities and markets to experience the world and its people through Arts, Buildings, Culture and Dining.

Through opportunities to learn and immerse in the vibrancy of global cultures and activities, to observe the physical actualities of the city and urban interactions, our people will be able to appreciate first-hand the richness, diversity and quality of living, business and leisure experiences prevalent in international cities. It is our hope that this exposure will enable them to better understand the lifestyles and standards demanded by a new class of international calibre customers from varied and diverse backgrounds and experiences.

This is our commitment to people and individual development at Far East Organization towards bolstering organisational development and ensuring that we have the right human infrastructure to do our business better in the international marketplace of today.

A mini travel fair was organised by Group Human Resources on 26 January 2008 at Antica Ballroom, Orchard Parade Hotel. The programme included presentations by the Japan Tourism Board, New Zealand Tourism Board and Insight Vacation, as well as booths showcasing interesting travel packages to Japan, Europe, the United States of America, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Indochina.

In addition to ready tips and advice from the experts on the best places to visit, our colleagues and their families were treated to hourly lucky draws with attractive prizes as well as goodie bags with travel accessories.
