Residential developments near Paya Lebar - euHabitat
Earmarked by the Government as a commercial hub, the buzz at Paya Lebar Central is well underway with the second commercial land parcel made available for sale. The first site, located next to the Paya Lebar MRT Interchange, was awarded to a consortium at a cost of S$586m. It will be developed into a major commercial centre. Under the Master Plan, 12 ha of land will be developed into office, hotel and retail spaces, bringing jobs closer to home.
Only a 10-min drive to Central Business District, Paya Lebar is well-connected by major expressways (PIE and ECP). Accessibility via public transport will also be enhanced when the new Downtown Line 3 complementing the East-West Line is up. Paya Lebar MRT Station will serve as an interchange station for the Circle and East-West Lines.
Nearby, the Geylang Riverfront will open up attractive riverfront public spaces as the river is being integrated with future developments. There will be a mix of office, retail and hotel developments by the river, bringing life to the riverbanks.
Other new developments in the area include a new public plaza next to Paya Lebar MRT Interchange that will provide a gathering spot and focal point for activities; a civic centre next to the new Geyland Serai Market - housing a Community Club, Community Development Council and a library; and more spaces to be created for stalls during the popular Hari Raya bazaar.
A number of land sales and en bloc transactions (for residential, commercial, and industrial use) have taken place in the vicinity. More land sales can be expected as the Government releases them in phases.
With a slew of exciting Singapore luxury property developments in the pipeline, Paya Lebar is well on its way to becoming the new shining star of the east.
